Not Here, Not EVER
After John McCain used a Van Halen song during his introduction of Sarah Palin as his running mate yesterday, the band wants to make to make one thing clear -- they're not running with
Van Halen's management says the band had no idea McCain was planning on using "Right Now" during the event in Dayton, Ohio, stating that "Permission was not sought or granted nor would it have been given."
This seems to be the latest in a pattern of ignoring copyrights and requesting permissions by the McCain camp. I recently wrote about prior transgressions by the campaign.
