Lamont still gaining traction against Lieberman

Bush's best (Dem?) pal ,Joe Lieberman, might be better off skipping the Democratic Primary and running as an Independent this November. The latest Rasmussen Reports survey of the Primary Election shows Lieberman leading challenger Ned Lamont by just six percentage points, 46% to 40%. These are stunningly low numbers for an incumbent Democrat in this extremely blue state.

These results should be viewed as a clear sign that Lamont is gaining traction. The last survey found Lamont at the 31% level of support (that itself was a stunning figure at the time).

Still, some caution is in order. The sample is very small (218) meaning the margin of sampling error is very large (nearly 7 percentage points). Additionally, determining Likely Voters for a Primary is one of the most challenging tasks in the polling business. It is worth noting that the most likely of the Likely Voters were a bit more inclined to support Lamont than the overall sample.

In the General Election, Lieberman wins handily as either a Democrat or an Independent.

Lieberman needs to get out of the Democratic Party. He's about as much a democrat as Dick Cheney is.

As "un-picky" as the Dems are about who they let in the party these days, Cheney could be a card-carrying Democrat. Guess that's the price you pay for soliciting votes from the dregs of society.

Lieberman is truly a DINO. Most of us weren't real sure about Gore's selection of him in 2000. Turns out that his gamble was wrong. We all make mistakes. Today's Democrats are trying to rectify that.

Cheney a card carrying Democrat?? Andy, whatever you're smoking has GOT TO BE illegal in these United States. And *I* don't want any. . .

Glenda - I love the trees as well, although not as much as I once did. . =) We moved a year and a half ago, to a property that has nearly 100 trees, mainly shagbark hickory. I still love trees, but MAN what an effort to stay clean from leaves, nuts, branches and sap! =)

Okay Mike, now you're just insulting us. . .

I guess "The Great Society" means the richest 2% of the country, and apparently you haven't done any research on the atrocities that shrub has committed against education of our children..
