ALASKA PANEL: SARAH PALIN UNLAWFULLY ABUSED HER POWER AS GOVERNOR
Stephen Branchflower, chief investigator of the Alaskan legislative panel charged with investigating "Trooper Gate", concluded on Friday that Sarah Palin abused her power as governor by trying to have her former brother-in-law fired as a state trooper. The bipartisan panel that investigated the matter found Palin in violation of a state ethics law that prohibits public officials from using their office for personal gain.
The McCain-Palin campaign had pushed to have the report swept aside until after the presidential election next month. They cited a desire to spare her any embarrassment as cause for delaying the report. Perhaps they haven't been paying attention to her media encounters. . .
