Palin Sends $8M Obama's Way

Sarah Palin energized the conservative Republican base last night; not a daunting task considering her far right social views. But her flaming rhetoric, well delivered but written by George Bush's speechwriter, had an unintended effect on supporters of the target of her attacks, Barack Obama. The Obama campaign reports contributions of eight million dollars from over 130,000 donors since her speech last night. In comparison, the McCain camp has raked in nearly one million dollars in the same time frame.

"Sarah Palin's attacks have rallied our supporters in ways we never expected. And we fully expect John McCain's attacks tonight to help us make our grassroots organization even stronger."
