Damn right we did!!!
I'm not really sure exactly what 'WE DID' .
Until it all comes out and into fruition, I really don't have an honest opinion either way about the new legislation.
Will it be harder to see a Doctor?
Will my premiums go down?
When will it take effect?
How is it all being paid for?
Will it have an adverse affect on my Dad who is on Medicare?
Etc. etc. etc.
I really don't want to read the new legislation either. I don't care for all that 'legal ease', so don't send me a link.
I am just staying neutral on my feelings and opinions about it for now :)
I do agree that every one needs healthcare coverage (except illegals); I'm just not sure ramming this historic piece of legislation through was the right thing to do.... yet.
Last night it seemed every TV news reporter was more urgently concerned about how this legislation will affect Democrats in the next election, rather than such questions as posted in the previous comment. They did point out, though, that the USA has been monkeying around with the health insurance problem since Teddy Roosevelt's day.
I expect the new law to be as messy as anything else Congress hacks out. But it is most significant as a step toward getting through the mess we're in.
Health care passed, but now the real trouble is going to start.
