Isaac Hayes has retired at 65
The legendary singer/songwriter was found unconscious near a still-running treadmill at his home today by his wife Adjowa and their young son (pictured at right). He's believed to have suffered a simultaneous heart attack and stroke. He was previously treated for a stroke 10 2006.
The singer, who in the early 1970s laid the groundwork for several genres of black music and for romantic crooners like Barry White, hit another career high in 1997 when he became the voice of Chef, the soul-singing, school cook and devoted ladies man on South Park. A song performed by Hayes from that series, Chocolate Salty Balls (P.S. I Love You) ,became a huge international hit in 1999, even hitting number one in Great Britain.Hayes left the series in 2006 after the show lampooned his own religion, the Church of Scientology.
In addition to the numerous films he appeared in and the 200+ songs that he co-wrote, Hayes had a cameo role in an episode of "The Bernie Mac Show," the star who's demise we reported just yesterday morning.

I do believe there has been an upset in the natural balance of things. Usually, these deaths come in threes, but with Morgan Freeman surviving his injuries, he threw the whole system out of balance.
