Wexler seeks Inherent Contempt for Rove
Last night, Robert Wexler appeared on MSNBC's Verdict with Dan Abrams to discuss Karl Rove's outrageous refusal to appear before Congress regarding serious allegations that he used the US Justice Department to take down a prominent Democratic politician. It is alleged that Mr. Rove personally instigated the prosecution of former Alabama Governor Don Siegleman. The case has been criticized by legal experts, and 52 former state attorney generals – both Republicans and Democrats – have criticized the case and called for an investigation.

Maybe it's just me, but it seems that Abrams was playing soft-pitch with Wexler. When Abrams asked if Wexler would subpoena Rove, Wexler tap danced around the question, saying he'd prefer Rove come forward voluntarily (which is evident will not happen), then went on to talk about what all would be involved in actually getting Rove in front of Congress. Then Abrams allowed the runaround without following up with the direct question: when will Congress subpoena Rove?
Sounds to me like typical Congressional chest pounding and saber rattling - all flash and no substance.
