Richard Widmark has died at 93
Richard Widmark died at home Monday in Roxbury, Connecticut. The actor, 93, had suffered a decline in health recently due to a recent fractured verterbra. He is survived by his wife, Susan Blanchard, and daughter Anne Heath Widmark from his previous marriage to Jean Hazlewood , who died in 1997. Widmark and Blanchard, who was also married to Henry Fonda, were married in 1999.
Widmark's most famous role was that of the psychopathic killer in the 1947 classic "Kiss of Death". The film featured a chilling scene where Widmark's character ties up an old lady in a wheelchair with a piece of cord and then shoves her down a flight of stairs to her death, as he cackles dementedly.
Widmark appeared in more than 60 other films, including The Alamo with John Wayne, Judgement at Nuremberg, How the West was Won, and Murder on the Orient Express.

There aren't too many actors left from the Golden Age of cinema. Sad to lose Widmark who was one of the most iconic.
RIP dude.
I've watched a lot of movies with him in it over the years and to tell the truth, I was surprised he was still around.
I thought he had been dead for twenty years.
I wonder who I had him confused with?
I'll probably never know, CRS is like that.
He was such a good Bad Guy. Dude gave me the creeps when I wassa a youngun.
Sounds like he was pretty active until the back trouble.
Peace.
I have to confess to recognizing the name, but I don't really recall him after seeing the video.
