Obama Wins Maine AND a Grammy

Barack bests Two Clintons on Same Day!

Barack Obama defeated Hillary Rodham Clinton in today's Maine presidential caucuses, grabbing a majority of delegates as the state's Democrats overlooked the snowy weather and turned out in heavy numbers for municipal gatherings.

Democrats in 420 Maine towns and cities were deciding how the state's 24 delegates will be allotted at the party's national convention in August. Despite the weather, turnout was "incredible," party executive director Arden Manning said.

With 879% of the participating precincts reporting, Obama led in state delegates elected over Clinton, 1,837 to 1,277, a 59% to 41% win.

The Senator also defeated another Clinton, Bill, to win best spoken word a
lbum for his audio version of his book "The Audacity Of Hope: Thoughts On Reclaiming The American Dream" at today's Grammy Awards. Jimmy Carter was also in the running for that award. Bill, Hillary, and Jimmy Carter have all won the award previously.

Kay in Maine has some great posts from on the ground up there!

Allow me to join in her hopeful statement: "As Maine goes, so goes the nation!"
