Mittens has about as much chance as getting the Fundie vote as I do. Huck is their natural choice.

I always get a kick of asking Mormons what planet they will be God over.
If they just did not call themselves Christians, then I would leave them alone.

Peace.

Puhleeze. Romney doesn't believe this shit anymore than you or I do. It's just part of his cultural baggage and I wouldn't expect intelligent people to hold it against him. Stupid people like the religious right, yes.

It's all well and good for the Dems. Mittens is apparently now the fave of the neocons, which helps reinforce the growing schism with the theocrats. The libertarian paranoiacs will root for Ron Paul. And the world will be a better place come 2008.

Sweet, I converting to Mormonism! I can be a god, rule my own planet? You thought Dick Chaney was evil, "wait 'il you get a load of me!" A planet of Mormon/Amish ready to strike terror to the universe, our space horse and buggys will rain terror and destruction down on you all!

JOHN - I don't know if the entire video is true, but the parts about Adam being God, Jesus preaching to the indians and the faithful attaining Godhood ARE all true.

DE-TOKEVILLE - it's NOT "cultural baggage", it's the core foundation of their beliefs. If you know any Mormons, just ask them if they agree with the following: "As man is, God once was. As God is, man will someday be." Incidentally, I don't hold his beliefs against him - everyone has the right to believe whatever they want - but to deny the fact that it IS their belief, well, it is what it is.

Found this posted on Doonesbury.com today:

SAY WHAT?
"Don't Mormons believe that Jesus and the devil are brothers?"
-- Mike Huckabee, to the New York Times Magazine. Huckabee later apologized to Romney.

I guess he didn't really need to apologize.

Imagine a completely secular world where people respected each other and didn't kill those with opposing religious views.

I can only imagine the planet I get to rule over with a iron fist after I die.
