Stewart Loses First Bid for 4th District
Chris Stewart, who ran an amazing grass roots campaign in a short 12 week timespan, lost in his initial bid for 4th District city council. Stewart, who walked EVERY precinct in the district and knocked on over 1500 doors, managed to pull out an impressive 41% against a well-known opponent.
Mitch Harper | 6,367 | 59% | ||
Chris Stewart | 4,427 | 41% |
Look for Chris, with better name recognition, a full-length campaign, and four years of Harper boring the other council members to death with three-hour discourses on the pollenation of ash trees, to reclaim this seat for the Democrats in 2011. I suspect that Chris will also have a mentor to guide him to that victory. . .

When Chris sits on council for a term or two, Tom should be ready to hand the Mayor's office over to Chris. I know he could do it!
So sorry Chris did not win...this time. He'll be back!
Sheri - It's been a LONG TIME since I've been this impressed with a newbie to politics. He's definitely a future star!
Angie - You're preaching to the choir, babe!
