Maliki plays offense
Condi Rice - "Iraqi Prime Minister Maliki's administration is on "borrowed time."
Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki - "Statements such as Rice's give morale boosts for the terrorists and push them toward making an extra effort and making them believe they have defeated the American administration". (SLAP!)
----------------------------------------
George Bush - "We will not engage in talks with Iran or Syria". (rattling saber)
al-Maliki - "We confirm our commitment to dialogue with Iran and Syria despite U.S. opposition to those governments". (SLAP!!)
----------------------------------------
Bush - "We will commit an additional 21,500 American troops to Iraq".
Maliki - "I think that within three to six months our need for the American troops will dramatically go down. Equip our forces so it will be possible to withdraw the Multinational forces from cities, or withdraw 50,000 soldiers from Iraq." (GET OUT!)

I'm starting to like this guy. . .

I think Maliki is getting tired of feeling like he is just Bush's puppet. Good for him!
I can't say that I like Maliki because he has not convinced anyone that he is for common good.
I think Hilary for President of Iraq would be a great idea.
Every once in a while, Maliki displays signs of having a spine. Not good if you wish to remain a US puppet.
i'm starting to like him also...looks like they have not neutered him -- yet!
I,too, am surprised they haven't tried to take him out. Maybe they NEED him right now. . .they sure as hell aint got nothing else going for 'em!
I fully expect Maliki to be IED'd any day now. Dubya & Co do NOT like the hired help back-talking them.
They don't like the hired help talking back, so they turn them into the fired help, which makes them the fired up fired help, which helps draw attention to the original sparks!
Wow. . .I was almost channeling Jesse Jackson for a moment there. . .lol
I do love a good slap down!
